The opportunities that await have us tingling with anticipation!
Before diving in head first, recollect and take a moment to set a solid foundation for 2017.
Create with heart.
Consolidate with soul.
You guessed it – vision boarding. Get crafty. Pull out the watercolours and crayons. Rummage through old mags for photos and images that uplift you and make you feel a certain desired way. Or if you’re more of a cut, copy and design type of gal or guy, jump on Pinterest, Canva or any platform of your techy choice and paint the vision there.
Build the life you want to live. Hold it in your mind’s eye. See it unfolding before you and then… get to it!
After those many Chrissy celebrations, dinners, picnics, platters of delicious cheese, and a cheeky wine or three, start the New Year with good food and daily movement. As Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act but a habit.” Make your health a habit this January. Green smoothies, walks, runs and swims, healthy proteins, lots of fruit and veg, vitamin D, yoga, and watch your processed foods. Give it a week and you’ll be feeling shinier than ever.
When was the last time you attended a course, workshop or event? It’s normally rather quiet over the Christmas and New Year break, so pull up your socks and jump back on the learning bandwagon! We at DG have a full swing of activities lined up for you this month! Visit our Industry Event Calendar to keep your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in January, but to give you a hint, there’s Chloe Wigan’s 28 Day Gratitude Project, enrolment opens for the Beautiful You Life Coaching Academy and Kevin Bee’s Life Changing Questions Podcast will be available for your eager ears.
… And if time permits, several good books! We have been stockpiling a few for this exact time when life is a little slower paced. Here are out suggestions:
Outrageous Openness by Tosha Silver
Into the Magic Shop by Dr James R Doty
Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins
The Secret Letters of the Monk who sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma
Light on Yoga by BKS Iyengar
A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson
As eager as you are to get going and create a brilliant 2017, press pause and savour the lull of the holiday period. Cherish time with your family and friends, venture to the beach and drink in the salty air, spend longer in your meditation, go for picnics in the park, and perhaps load up the car and jet off for a weekend getaway. It’s a special time of year. Make the most it while January is here!
We’d love to hear how you are spending your time this January. Do you feel moved to try some of our suggestions?
